Clearblue

first sign of life

It doesn't really matter whether the other blue line is brighter than the other. It confirmed what we suspected: the stork, harbinger of happiness and prosperity, is coming back with our fourth bundle of joy.

Sallie was in tears. I know she was trying to hold it back. Hugging her burst the "emotional seam" which made me teary-eyed as well. I know how traumatic her previous pregnancy was. She was practically giddy and throwing up most of the time. The 3 kids are already a handful so I understand that another one would really take its toll. I had to reassure her that she will be fine...we will be fine.

We are conditioned that Abby would be our last. In fact we were planning to travel in a couple of years more. That, and most of the plans that we have have to take the backseat now. Undeniably, another baby would be physically tiring and financially draining. But having experienced parenthood thrice, we know that at the other side of the balance, there will be joy beyond compare. Another pair of arms will be hugging us...

Ano ba talaga, kuya?

I ended up having an 'official' birthday on Dec 2. But having faith kay Nanay (she should know better, s'ya yata ang nagluwal sa akin), I celebrate on Aug 6. Hindi ko lang alam kung tag-ani ba o hindi (my Nanay's uncanny way of remembering important dates).
